If you are a quick thinker and good all-rounder familiar with the water and sanitation sectors, this could be the opportunity for you. BPD is seeking to hire the right candidate who can support our research, project work and training activities in a variety of ways. Shortlisted candidates will have clear research or implementation experience in public-private or multi-stakeholder partnerships in developing countries. You will have completed either a relevant Masters Degree in social sciences, economics or engineering, or a minimum period of 12 months working in a related African, Latin American or Asian context.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading, working or conversing with diverse groups of people, such as utility managers, local entrepreneurs or directors of national civil society organisations. You will have clear analytical skills and be able to communicate fluently in English. An ability to communicate in French or Spanish would be an advantage. Given its size, each member of BPD’s staff must be able to multi-task and have the warmth, flexibility and confidence to fit in with a small team. You would ideally have eligibility to work in the UK as this position is London-based. This post may require overseas travel at short notice.
Whilst initially offered as a 6-month contract, as funding allows in the next financial year, the contract may be extended.
