West Africa Independent Network Providers

BPD has just completed work with AfD (and Hydroconseil) that looks at the role that independent network operators play in providing services to those that have traditionally struggled to get access.  Work in Mali, Mauritania, Ghana and Mozambique has led to a process of ongoing dialogue around the issue in each country, and a set of case studies.  A synthesis report has just been published, containing findings and practical recommendations for both practitioners and policymakers.  Please see Access through innovation: Expanding water service delivery through independent network providers
