BPD is a world-wide network of partners involving government, business, civil society and donors.

What is BPD?

Building Partnerships for Development in Water and Sanitation (BPD) is an international cross-sector learning network focused on improving access to safe water and effective sanitation in poor communities.

What We Do

Our mission is to promote the delivery of basic services to the poor in developing countries through enhancing institutional relationships between the public, private and civil society sectors. Our approach is three-fold:

Research and Analysis

Exploring through action research the contribution of partnerships to meeting the water and sanitation needs of poor communities.

Direct Project-Level Support

Direct support to projects to assist in building more effective partnerships for the provision of water and sanitation.

Broader Influencing

Bringing together organisations across the sector to engage in constructive dialogue and, disseminating tools and frameworks to influence how the water and sanitation sector works through partnership.
